How a legendary tooltip reads
The Hellstorm Mace in the screenshot is a level 70 weapon with 230 damage and 1.01 speed. It has four primary stats (Strength, critical hit damage, special ability bonus damage, damage over time), one secondary stat (life on hit) and the orange legendary power. Comparing it with an equipped weapon shows green and red differences, including "stats lost when equipped". The Serrated Greatsword also shows an empty socket.
Ancient Legendaries
Added in patch 0.1.12: a legendary has a small chance to drop as an Ancient Legendary with the maximum item level and maximum rolls in every stat range. The developers did not give the chance.
Rune sets
Runes go into six rune slots and grant set bonuses at 2, 4 and 6 pieces. Each class guide builds around one set.

The Warrior, Sorcerer and Hunter set names are translated from Spanish guides, so the in-game English names may differ. The Hunter guide also mentions a second, poison-based Hunter set without listing its numbers.
Upgrading at the blacksmith
An official screenshot shows a Frostmaw Greataxe going from +4 to +5: 80% success chance, 33,125 gold and three materials: 20, 8 and 5 of each. The step adds +31.5 weapon damage, +0.1 weapon speed and small bumps to every stat on the item. Success is not guaranteed, and the chance shown is for this step only.
Drop names seen in official footage
One screenshot shows a pile of drops with their name plates. They tell you the naming style of rare and legendary gear: Magma Flow Chest Armor, Stormforged Girdle, Infinity Edge Blade, Spellbook of Storms, Voidforged Pauldrons, Gravewalker Greaves, Voidgrasp Ring, Flamekeeper Belt, Flamewalker Chausses, Titans Footguards, Bonecrusher Treads, Golden Treasure Chest.
What to keep while levelling
Players levelling on launch day say the same thing in different threads: check every uncommon or better item for your main stat, your damage type and life on hit, and compare weapons by the DPS line in the tooltip. Weapons drop rarely, so an upgraded starter weapon can last ten levels.
Item questions
What is an Ancient Legendary in Deskrawl?
Any legendary has a small chance to drop as an Ancient Legendary. It has the maximum item level and maximum rolls on every stat. The developers added it in patch 0.1.12.
How many equipment slots are there?
Twelve. The Clad in Legend achievement asks for legendary or better gear in all 12 slots.
How high can items be upgraded?
To +10. The Forged to Perfection achievement is for getting any item there.
Can I wear two of the same legendary ring?
A community guide says the game blocks two rings with the same name, so builds pair two different rings.
What is the Long Shot rune?
We have not found a source that describes it yet, so this page does not list it. The four rune sets below are the ones documented in the launch-day class guides.
